Create creatures from your imagination that express your creative side. Using basic clay techniques and references to the natural world, students will explore facial expressions, nonverbal communication, and dialogue via the eyes, body, and form of their creatures. By exploring these expressions with their hands students will have the chance to develop a new relationship with the world around them. This is a handbuilding class and does not involve the wheel.
Beginning Handbuilding in the Holiday Season

Use basic hand-building techniques to create objects of interest and utilize different types of mark-making to create handbuilt ceramics that elevate the world around you! From small sculptures and trinkets to functional items like cups and planters, explore new skills and tools that will help you develop a deeper relationship with clay. Glaze firing as time allows. All levels welcome.
